Hello, my name is Helen and I am the creator of DgBaking. DgBaking stands for “deaf girl baking”. A little about me, I wasn’t always deaf, I lost my hearing a few years ago and it has been a process of having to reinvent myself. This is how I discovered my love of cooking and baking, but especially baking. Since then, I have taken the time and care to perfect recipes and learn new recipes and skills.
I like to bake and gift to family and friends. I am born and raised in the USA and am part Greek and part Dominican so that my content is focused a lot on my background. I like to create though, the world is a big place and there are many yummy recipes from different cultures and countries. I like to spice things up! So that you will often see featured baked goods and perhaps even foods from different cultures.
