preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare large baking pan with silicone mat or parchment paper and set aside
Start by combining flour, baking soda and baking powder- set aside
Cream Butter and sugar until light and fluffy 8-10 minutes
Add egg one at a time, add one, mix well and then add the second and mix. add vanilla and orange juice and mix
Add flour by thirds and mix, you might not need all the flour. As you add and mix, take a piece with your hand, if you can easily form it without sticking, you are done. hile you form the dough, you can also lightly flour your hands.
Each dough ball should weigh 30-40g. 2 tbsp cookie scoop equals roughly 30g. This smaller size makes more cookies. For this recipe, I weighed each ball at 40grams. W hich gives a larger cookie. See video for comparison.
Remember to brush tops with egg and add sesame seeds if you like. Bake 20-25 minutes or until top is a medium golden color like mine
Enjoy with warm milk like my aunt served them in Greece, or coffee or tea. Store in airtight container. Cookies keep for long, about 2 weeks.
